Post-Secondary Options
Presenter – Sheryl Arno/Abilities Matter and the
Georgia Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Consortium
Sheryl Arno with Abilities Matter and the GA Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Consortium (GaIPSEC) will be speaking at this session on the college opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and some of the requirements for admission.
Allison Stevenson, the Parent Mentor of the Fayette County School System, will be on hand to share some information and helpful tools to prepare your child for these and other post-secondary programs.
This meeting will be important for parents of children with disabilities who are high school aged. Our meeting will begin at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be available and children are welcome in the care of their parents.
We’ll meet in our offices off of Highway 54 near Publix in Peachtree City. The address is 100 Governor’s Trace, Suite 106-107, Fayetteville, GA (yes, the actual address is Fayetteville, though it seems like Peachtree City!) We’ll have signs out leading the way! For additional information call Janet Smola 770-631-1035.
ExceptionalOps is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization providing advocacy, information, supports and choices for Fayette residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your tax-deductible contributions are encouraged and welcomed.
